The Pactum is a podcast that discusses important theological topics within the church and addresses aspects of the Christian life for the encouragement of the Church at large.

They needed a recognizable logo and mark that would be easy to use in a variety of ways. I wanted to create something that felt rooted in history and connected to the old latin phrase that the name originated from: Pactum Salutis. However, given that the main way people would be interacting with this brand would be in the modern setting of a podcast and social media, I didn’t want it to feel stuffy or old.

To bring those two concepts together, I created a blackletter monogram set in a geometric shield and used a more modern serif typeface to balance it out.

As the brand has expanded, we’ve created additional mugs, t-shirts, stickers, hats, and even a custom blend of coffee! I also created a series of templates to be used on Instagram and other social platforms, to build brand awareness and listener engagement.
