Makers and Means is non-profit ministry that connects like-minded individuals and churches in North America who are interested in becoming prayer partners and financial supporters of indigenous leaders in local churches around the world.

As we talked, the story of Jesus providing means in an unexpected way (a coin in the mouth of a fish) came to mind and I thought it would be an interesting way to combine the concept of God providing. As an added bonus, it ties in the concept that the first apostles were called to be “fishers of men” and to make disciples.

I created a mark of the opened-mouth fish, surrounded in a seal reminiscent of a the border of a coin and added the initials of the organization as a monogram within the seal. The typeface I chose to be clean and readable at small sizes, since the name was so long, I knew it would often need to be at displayed in limited spaces.
